My day started off with a bang! We had a strong front come in the night before that brought heavy rain and morning temps in the low 50's. I was fishing main lake points with nice chunk rocks along with brush piles. All the fish came off those points using an OMEGA watermelon red structure jig.

With then less than 45 minutes into the day, I had put 5 good keepers in the boat. From that point we culled all day. We bounced point to point from brush pile to brush pile. At this point into the season we are sitting in 10th place in the standings before this weekend's 5th place finish. So I'm guessing we should be sitting in the top 5. I honestly believe if I could only fish one bait it would be the OMEGA watermelon red structure jig. I think I could go any where in the country with this bait and be at the top of the leader board. I believe this jig is the reason for my success the last 3-4 years. Last year I finished 3rd overall in the Lake Country Anglers Trail. And I'm on my way to do they same. My partners name is Josh Steele in the pic.
